Refurbishment of mezzanine office floor

MLEI was engaged to provide structural engineering services for the refurbishment of the mezzanine office floor. The office space was to be occupied by NT Chief Minister and a number of NT government agencies in Alice Springs.

The project included:

  • Design of supports for modifying the existing concrete stairs on ground floor
  • Design of new concrete landing and steps
  • Design of lintels for new opening on the masonry walls
  • Advise on the penetrations through the existing concrete floors on Mezzanine and Level 1
  • Design of 2 steel frames for 2 new operable walls on Mezzanine.
