This project aimed at enhancing of the function and amenity of the Barker Street and Forest Street streetscapes and strengthening a vibrant and attractive CBD. MLEI undertook the streetscape upgrade design of Barker Street (between Campbell Street and Saint Street) and Forest Street (between Kennedy Street and Urquhart Street) in Castlemaine.

MLEI’s project scope included:

  • Concept design – opportunities and constraints, review engineering survey, identify any gaps in data and input into scope for additional survey, collaborate with architects
  • Preliminary design – high level civil input, WSUD parameters and inputs, preliminary input into quantities and estimates
  • Detailed design – including civil, drainage and path grading, input into technical specification, issue documentation for tender and construction.
