The Mowbray Park Steel Pontoon is situated on the Brisbane River and is available to the public. The project involved replacing the original steel pontoon with a like for like steel pontoon.

MLEI Consulting Services (trading as Esen Engineering at the time) delivered the engineering design for:

  • Steel pontoon
  • Steel restraint piles
  • Aluminium handrails.

We undertook inspections and certifications to these standards:

  • AS1170.1 – Structural Design Actions – Dead and live loads
  • AS1170.2 – Structural Design Actions – Wind
  • AS1664.1 – Aluminium Structures Code
  • AS2159 – Piling Code
  • AS 3600 – Concrete Structures Code
  • AS4100 – Steel Structures Codes
  • AS4997 – Guidelines for the Design of Maritime Structures.
