MLEI undertook the structural & civil engineering redevelopment the extension to the existing Broken Hill Hospital.

The design included:

• New dedicated external entry with a spacious waiting area
• Full internal refurbishment and reconfiguration of the Emergency Department, making it a bigger and more efficient space, including ambulance bay
• New 1000m 2 1-storey, 8-bed Acute Mental Health Unit
• Earthworks, stormwater management works
• Improvements to internal roads and carparking facilities
• New 41-space carpark.
