DESCRIPTION Major restructure of 2 buildings into one, refurbishments & extensions
PROJECT PERIOD 2017 - 2024

MLEI undertook the critical structural and civil engineering for RAA’s new corporate premises for at 150 Grenfell Street, Adelaide.

The project included:

• Seamless integration of two buildings into one 9300m 3 office tower, linking them structurally and functionally
• 2 new floors
• New central lift shaft
• Complete refit – new services, new curtain wall façade
• Modification to existing canopies
• Stormwater drainage.

This project was a culmination of combining sustainable structural design practice through re-use and justification of existing structure and practical design. From detailed analysis of existing foundations to full earthquake building upgrade, the project required careful review of all elements.
