MLEI provided civil and structural engineering services for the Town of Walkerville’s community and library building. The building was architecturally designed to be an iconic structure in the heritage area of Walkerville.

MLEI’s design included Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) for the carpark and stormwater treatment systems to support the landscape architect’s design, which focussed on encouraging public interaction and participation, to enhance the social life of the local community.

The new building was an open structure and detailed engineering was required to keep the structural cost within budget.
