MLEI undertook the structural and civil engineering of a warehouse redevelopment for National Tiles in Port Melbourne, which included the reroofing of the existing 7,200m 3 warehouse and engineering d esign of a new internal showroom and office space.

MLEI provided the following services:

Civil engineering:

• Review and site inspection

Structural engineering:

• Preliminary design to assist with architectural detail
• Design for amendments to existing structural system for new loads, ceilings, walls and openings
• Engineering calculation report and relevant structural specifications
• Coordination with services consultants.
• Checking of shop drawings for structural compliance
• Site visits during construction to review the structural components
• Answering RFIs from shop detailers and site personnel during construction.
