The Emu Park Sewage Treatment Plant upgrade project included the upgrade of the aeration and control system to provide better control over the biological and chemical processes, as well as the upgrade of the dewatering equipment to ensure environmental license compliance.

MLEI undertook the replacement of 2x Sequencing Batch Reactor tanks, which included design & documentation and construction support for each of the SBR tanks. This included:

• **Design & documentation **
  - Design of alteration and re-use of existing concrete ring beams
  - Design of new plinths, bunds and alterations on existing slab for equipment and tanks, slab unloading
  bay, chemical storage area, concrete roads, extension to the dewatering shed, new platforms over SBR
  tanks including support, existing stairs for re-use
  - Assisting in construction methodology and verification plan
  - Final detailed civil/structural drawings for tank footings for Tender and Construction
• Construction support
  - Respond to queries during construction
  - Review and comment on shop drawings.
