PROJECT PERIOD 2022-2023

Thomas Foods International meat processing facility was building a new Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to process the domestic sewage from their abattoir. They had a generic design package from water & wastewater treatment systems manufacturer MAK Water that needed to be customised for the balance of plant, civil layout, slabs on ground and additional platforms.

MLEI undertook the civil works for the WWTP, that included:

• Geotech investigation to inform foundation design

• Detailed design including calculations for
  - Large slab on ground to land the treatment plant on
  - New access point off Wilkins Road
  - Minor roads and parking around plant area
  - Site levels, drainage & stormwater discharge for area surrounding the process plant.
