Oaklands Green was a partnership between the community sector and the State Government. The previous SA Housing Authority 16.5ha site was the largest social housing regeneration project in 20 years for South Australia. This project provided 450+ market-ready homes, unlocking critical land and housing supply for South Australians – including 15% affordably through SA Government HomeSeeker program, and 235 homes for SA Housing Authority.

GREEN STAR
The project aimed to be one of South Australia’s highest Green Star rated developments. It prioritises sustainability, using materials with minimal environmental impact, energy-efficient design and homes powered by renewable energy.

**_STAGES 1 3, & 4 _ **
MLEI was engaged to undertake the recycled water and potable water & sewer civil engineering for Stages 1 3, & 4. Our services included:

  • Concept design for the recycled water system
  • Project engineering and service authority liaison – Telstra/NBNCo, SAPN, APA (Gas), SA Water
  • Review & update Stormwater Management Master Plan for the entire development
  • Detailed design of potable water headworks.
