The Bowden Housing Estate is a 16.3ha site on the former Clipsal and Origin Gasworks sites, located 2.5km from the Adelaide CBD and bordered by the Adelaide Park Lands. The site is expected to contain 2,400 residential apartments and terrace homes, in addition to the community areas in Bowden Town Square – consisting of Bowden Park, the Plant 4 Bowden retail hub, and Plant 3 community hub.

Bowden is one of the most environmentally sustainable communities in the nation, with the highest concentration of Green Star homes in Australia.

MLEI undertook the structural and civil design of 41x architecturally designed townhouses on Guild Terrace, for Centina and Maxispan. The project consisted of a combination of 2-, 3- and 4-storey townhouses. Each home included innovative spatial design to integrate indoor and outdoor spaces, with feature roof terraces on the 4-storey townhouses.
