MLEI were engaged by Topcoat to undertake design and documentation of the civil and structural engineering elements for the new Lonsdale asphalt operation plant.

Our team was involved in the planning, detailed design, and construction phases for the:
• Earthworks and site grading
• Stormwater drainage
• Storage bunkers
• Storage tanks
• Asphalt plant.

The new plant is capable of producing a range of specialty high performance asphalt mixes along with a standard hot mix.

MLEI engaged in a collaborative approach with the overall project team, which included Topcoat, Masterplan and McMahon Services, to successfully deliver the high-class operating facility. MLEI also assisted the builder during the construction phase to address design changes where needed to meet latent site conditions.
