Comprehensive structural design and optimisation of Light Gauge Steel (LGS) systems for over 10 new KFC restaurant projects across South Australia, New South Wales, and Victoria, eg Mount Barker, Blakeview, Salisbury Downs, Kadina, Hendon, Northfield, Ingleburn.

MLEI undertook the structural engineering design for the development of steel framed restaurant buildings of 10x new Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants across South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria, incorporating specialised Light Gauge Steel (LGS) systems.

Our achievements:

• We maximised LGS applications to streamline structural layouts while reducing reliance on hot-rolled steel to achieve significant cost efficiencies and accelerated construction timelines.
• We provided full engineering documentation, third-party certification of all LGS components, and ongoing technical support during construction.
• We delivered responsive RFI resolutions and onsite consultation to address complex installation challenges. This ensured structural integrity while meeting brand-standard architectural requirements, tailored to the specific conditions of each site.
