Upgrade design of an existing informal rest area on the Carpentaria Highway at chainage 338.5 km to improve motorist safety, reduce travel time and provide improved driver amenity.

MLEI services included:
• 25% design –preliminary site investigation, engineering survey
• 50% detailed design – 3D modelling for earthworks, geometry and underground services, 12D modelling of existing services, construction plan, drainage, lighting, cross-sections, pavement plan, safety in design, land acquisition plan, guard rails & barriers, construction methodology.
• 90% detailed design – all intersections and roadworks, pavements, works alignments, finalised street lighting, construction methodology, refined estimates, stage 3 road safety audit, independent review
• 100% final documentation – final drawings, tender cost estimate, 3D models, safety in design and technical specifications.
