Benson has 25 years of experience in the design and documentation of civil works and infrastructure projects. He has a solid understanding of the requirements for civil engineering documentation specialising in, design work for local and state government including water sensitive urban design, road and subdivision design, design of road and rail networks for mining infrastructure projects, water and wastewater networks designed to SA Water standards, bulk earth works and site civil works design, and defence projects.

A proficient user of both AutoCAD and the civil modelling program 12d, Benson is also a keen communicator and seeks to liaise with clients and approving authorities to achieve the best practical outcome to satisfy the client’s needs.

Benson has recently worked on the SEA1000 Future Submarines Programme supporting the civil aspect design and building information modelling (BIM) in 12d, and has aided the civil infrastructure documentation across multiple platforms.

He has also worked on various infrastructure projects such as the Edinburgh Mid Term Refresh; Lot Fourteen Development; Torrens Rail Junction Separation; Playford Sport Precinct; Blackwood Park Land Development and the South East Flows Restoration Project.
