BRS Joins MLEI Group

BRS has joined MLEI Group, bringing further civil engineering and urban development expertise to the Group and introducing planning and surveying as new service offerings.

The addition of BRS broadens how we can support clients across the project lifecycle, particularly in the early stages where planning, site information and engineering need to work together.

For BRS, the move provides access to broader specialist engineering and environmental capability across Australia. For MLEI Group, it adds experienced people, established client relationships and new expertise in planning and surveying.

Established expertise in development and infrastructure

For almost two decades, BRS has supported development and infrastructure projects across New South Wales and Queensland.

The business has grown from its foundations in engineering and planning into a multidisciplinary consultancy with expertise across civil engineering, town planning, surveying, traffic engineering and transport planning, digital engineering, project management and certification.

Throughout that growth, BRS has maintained a practical approach to project delivery, grounded in strong client relationships, local knowledge and an understanding of how planning, design, approvals and delivery need to work together.

That approach aligns closely with our own.

Both businesses place value on clear thinking, practical advice and bringing the right expertise into a project at the right time.

Planning and surveying join our capability

‍

BRS strengthens areas where we already have established expertise, particularly civil engineering and urban development.

‍

It also brings something new.

‍

For the first time, planning and surveying become part of the capability available across MLEI Group.

‍

These disciplines influence some of the earliest and most important project decisions. Planning establishes what can be achieved and the pathway required to get there. Surveying provides the accurate site information needed to make those decisions with confidence.

‍

Bringing that expertise together with our existing engineering and environmental capability creates greater continuity from the earliest stages of a project through design and delivery.

‍

It allows us to understand more of the project before engineering decisions are made, identify constraints earlier and provide clients with more connected advice as their projects develop.

‍

‍

Broader expertise, established relationships

‍

Joining MLEI Group gives the BRS team access to broader specialist capability across Australia, including structural, hydraulic, bridge, marine and coastal, aquatic and environmental expertise.

‍

At the same time, BRS brings its own experience, established client relationships and knowledge of the communities and markets in which it works.

‍

The BRS Directors and team remain part of the business, with existing relationships and project delivery continuing as they do today.

‍

Our growth has always been about strengthening the expertise available to clients while retaining the knowledge, relationships and people that built each business.

‍

BRS represents the next stage of that approach.

‍

We are excited to welcome the BRS team to MLEI Group.
