Temporary works shape how construction happens before the permanent works are complete. Temporary works play an essential part in efficient and safe construction of permanent works. They provide access, support, stability, sequencing, lifting, launching and safety during delivery.
We resolve these decisions early so contractors can build with greater certainty. Typically, we work closely with the contractors to develop appropriate temporary works that suits their requirements and capabilities and program requirements) That means testing (testing is not really the appropriate term for this. These aspects are all items then need to be considered carefully in the development and design of appropriate temp works. That means testing construction loads, plant movements, ground conditions, temporary stability, marine conditions, programme pressure and build sequence before works begin on site.

Barrington Bridge
The demolition of the heritage-listed Barrington Bridge, a 1918 Allan timber truss bridge on Thunderbolts Way, required careful planning to safely dismantle the ageing structure.
