Linney Engineering Services Joins MLEI

Some partnerships are built over years of working together.

For several years, MLEI worked closely with Linney Engineering Services, providing structural and civil engineering support across winery, food and beverage projects. Through that collaboration, we developed a clear understanding of the business, its clients and the operational environments it supports.

Founded in 2005 by John Linney, Linney Engineering Services established a respected reputation within the wine, food and beverage sector. John built a specialist engineering, procurement and construction management consultancy known for practical industry knowledge, technical expertise and a deep understanding of production environments.

The acquisition builds on an established relationship between our two businesses and brings together complementary capabilities under one team. It also ensures the experience and industry relationships developed by John and the LES team continue to support clients into the future.

John remains with the business as Principal Engineer, providing continuity for clients and contributing the specialist expertise that made LES a trusted partner across the industry.

The integration strengthens MLEI’s capability within the winery, food and beverage sector and expands our ability to provide integrated engineering, procurement and project delivery services across Australia.

John built LES around the practical realities of project delivery. This perspective remains an important part of the business and continues to support clients throughout the sector.
