Broken Hill Hospital Redevelopment

The Broken Hill Hospital Redevelopment expanded and reconfigured key health services within an operating hospital environment. The $12 million project included upgrades to the Emergency Department and delivery of a new 1,000m² Acute Mental Health Unit, with construction carefully staged to maintain continuity of essential health services.

MLEI provided civil and structural engineering services across new buildings, existing hospital areas and external infrastructure. The engineering responded to the complexities of a live healthcare environment, coordinating earthworks, stormwater, roads and parking infrastructure with new and refurbished facilities to support safe and efficient project delivery.
