Cedar Party Creek Bridge

The Cedar Party Creek Bridge Replacement project has replaced the original 1920 timber bridge with a new 117 metre concrete bridge, improving flood resilience and providing a more reliable connection between Wingham and Taree. Designed to achieve 1% AEP flood immunity, the project included a new bridge, upgraded road approaches, drainage and associated civil infrastructure. MLEI has delivered the strategic, concept and detailed design phases and provided construction phase services. Working closely with MidCoast Council and the project team, we have coordinated the engineering design and site administration to support the successful delivery of this significant regional infrastructure project.

Bridge Engineering

• Detailed bridge design completed in accordance with AS 5100 and Transport for NSW standards
• Road, pavement and civil infrastructure designed to integrate with the new bridge alignment
• Flood modelling and drainage design undertaken to achieve 1% AEP flood immunity
• Engineering design coordinated across bridge, road, earthworks, drainage and utility interfaces

• Procurement and contract documentation prepared to support project delivery
