CSR Calcining Building

The new calcining building at CSR's Wetherill Park facility was developed to support new processing equipment and associated material handling infrastructure within the existing operational site.

MLEI delivered the detailed structural and civil design, including six levels of equipment support platforms, walkways and stairs, conveyor support structures connecting the new and existing buildings, pile and thickened slab foundations, a mill foundation designed to meet vibration frequency requirements, and a 10-tonne monorail system extending beyond the building envelope.

The scope also included access platforms linking the conveyor walkway to the existing building, drainage design comprising gutters and downpipes, and the preparation of structural and architectural documentation to support project delivery.
