Dorrien Estate Winery Expansion

The expansion of the Dorrien Estate winery increased annual production capacity by almost 40%, from 12,000 to 20,000 tonnes, through a major program of new processing, storage and site infrastructure works.

MLEI Group provided a full engineering and project management service encompassing master planning, cost planning, design, procurement and construction management.

The works included a new fruit receival facility, processing building, four staged tank farms comprising 292 tanks with a combined capacity of 22 ML, upgrades to the red fermenter area, and extensive supporting civil works including wastewater treatment infrastructure and an emergency spill dam.

Delivered in stages within an operational winery, the project significantly expanded production capability while providing modern processing and storage facilities.
