Motukea Export Wharf
Papua New Guinea
Project Overview
The Motukea Export Wharf required temporary works to support construction of a cellular steel sheet pile gravity structure. The works centred on the safe and controlled installation of 23m long flat steel sheet piles forming 20m diameter cells.
Temporary Works Solution
The piling frame was designed to support sheet pile installation and maintain control during pitching and driving. Sheet piles were pitched and the cell was closed before pile driving commenced.
Key Design Elements
