Sydney Cricket Ground Sporting Club
New South Wales
Project Overview
The Sporting Club of Sydney was revitalised as part of the Sydney Football Stadium redevelopment, transforming the long-standing members' club into a contemporary sports, wellness and hospitality destination within the Sydney Cricket Ground precinct. Completed in 2022, the redevelopment expanded the club to include contemporary aquatic, fitness and wellbeing facilities integrated with the wider stadium precinct.
MLEI provided aquatic engineering services throughout the project's design and delivery. Initially engaged by Venues NSW to prepare the Aquatic Briefing Scope, MLEI worked closely with the architectural team to define the aquatic facilities prior to tender. MLEI was subsequently appointed by John Holland to prepare the Design + Construct documentation, develop performance specifications and provide peer review services during the contract documentation and construction phases.
The completed facility delivers contemporary aquatic and wellness amenities that support recreation, fitness and member wellbeing within one of Australia's premier sporting precincts.
