Treasury Wine Estate Project Vale + Icon Cellar

The relocation of Treasury Wine Estates' Penfolds red winemaking operations from Nuriootpa to the Barossa Winery near Stockwell increased premium winemaking capacity by 33% through expanded production, processing and wine storage facilities.

MLEI Group provided full engineering and project management services, including concept development, master planning, cost planning, detailed design, traffic management, tender documentation, contractor coordination and construction inspections.

The works included a new 4,500 m² Icon Cellar, new and relocated fermenter banks, still wine storage tank farms, processing infrastructure, barrel storage facilities, heavy vehicle marshalling areas and relocation of the site's weighbridge system.

The project delivered a significant expansion of the winery's premium production capability while improving operational efficiency.
