Various McDonalds Restaurants
South Australia
Project Overview
Consistency is critical when delivering national retail developments across multiple sites. We provided the structural engineering for six new McDonald's restaurants throughout South Australia and Victoria, developing light gauge steel framing solutions that reduced reliance on conventional structural steel while meeting McDonald's corporate standards. The designs balanced structural efficiency, buildability and repeatability, supporting efficient delivery across a range of site conditions.
Structural Delivery
- Developed structural framing systems that maximised the use of light gauge steel and reduced the requirement for conventional structural steel
- Adapted the structural design to suit varying site conditions while maintaining a consistent engineering approach across all restaurant locations
- Prepared complete structural calculations, certification and engineering documentation for the light gauge steel framing systems
- Coordinated the structural design with manufacturers, builders and project teams to support efficient fabrication and construction
- Provided responsive engineering support throughout construction to resolve site queries and maintain project programme
