Wright Street Hotel

A 16-storey hotel development in the Adelaide CBD that combines contemporary accommodation with the retention of the site's heritage-listed Wright Street frontage.

MLEI provided structural and civil engineering services from concept design through detailed design and construction support, delivering the structural solution for the hotel, conference and gym facilities, rooftop terrace, and car parking.

The building uses a predominantly steel-framed structure with precast concrete shear walls and lift and stair cores, including a Level 1 transfer structure that extends the floor plate over the existing heritage building to maximise usable floor area while preserving the historic streetscape.
